Our First Trip to the Cabin as a Family of 3!
We spent last weekend with Chuck, Nicole, their dog, Keena and Pat at the cabin in Rabbit Ears. David had a great time going on walks in the evening and loved the cooler weather. Keena was great with him and just licked him (she's still a puppy, so not biting him was quite a feat!)

Meeting Aunt Judy, Uncle Efrain and Cousin Stephanie
Vacation in Winter Park
Bill's parents have a time share in Winter Park and they have been going there since Bill was young. He has many wonderful memories there with his parents, sister, grandparents, and Chuck and his family. We went up for a few days and had a great time being with his parents and getting out of the heat!

Let's Play Catch-up
It's been awhile since we've posted pictures of David and given updates. So here are the latest stats:
*David was 10 weeks old last Friday (7/25) and weighed in at 9 lbs 9 ounces! He has more than doubled his weight in 2 months!
*David's sleeping has significantly improved thanks to the Miracle Blanket (Thank you Auntie Laura for telling us about it!). His biggest challenge with sleeping was his arms flailing about. The Miracle Blanket keeps his arms down and swaddles him warm and tight. It's been a life saver for him and for us. He's a whole new kid now that he is resting more (and so are his parents).
My Grandma made this for my Cabbage Patch Kids years ago. We just had to put it on David. He looks so adorable!
Still David's (and Dad's) favorite place to be!

Our First Year in Pictures
We can't believe we've already been married a year! Sometimes it seems like much longer, as we have experienced so much together this year, and other times it seems like just yesterday. We have LOVED being married and are excited about this coming year with David as we grow as a couple and as a family!

Happy 4th of July!
We took David to his first fireworks and he slept through them! He had fun before the sun went down just looking at all the people! He was cold so we wrapped him up in his Broncos blanket and he was perfectly content!

Why We Haven't Blogged Recently...
1:17 AM
Our new video camera has night vision which has enabled us to see if David is asleep or not without turning on any lights in our room. This is him about a week ago. Needless to say, we've been sleeping when he sleeps, which is during the day. We're working on shifting his days and nights. Right now, 'night time' for him is from about 1:30/2:00 AM until 10:00 AM. It's the right amount of time, just a few hours off!
We've managed to download recent pictures and will be posting them this week (hopefully tomorrow, we'll see how tonight goes).
For now, here are the latest stats:
*David weighs 8 pounds even as of Wednesday 7/3 which means he's gaining more than what is needed to be 'healthy'.
*When he's awake, he's been more and more responsive to us and our voices. He'll reach for his stuffed animals and loves looking at himself (and us) in the mirror.
*We are loving every moment with him and trying to take it all in!!
--David was awake most of today so we are hoping for more sleep tonight...maybe this pattern has finally shifted! PLEASE PRAY!
