Our Wedding!

July 7, 2007
We had a WONDERFUL day making permanent our commitment to each other as those closest to us witnessed our vows. We are so thankful for the love and support so many friends and family showed us by praying for us and loving us through our single days, dating, engagement and now marriage.

First and foremost, our parents. WOW...what a blessing for both of us to grow up in households where God's love is not only taught, but shown daily. Our parents have shown us what it looks like to live a Godly marriage. And we are now blessed to have amazing in-laws who are cheering for us and praying for us through this journey.
Thank you Mom and Dad Robbins and Momma Joy and Dandad!! WE LOVE YOU!!

We also want to send out love and a HUGE thank you for those who stood up for us. We love each and every one of you and are so thankful for the unique roles you have played in our lives through the years! We love you guys and are looking forward to many more years of friendship!

Honeymoon

July 7-12, 2007 - BRECKENRIDGE, CO

We left after the wedding to spend a week in the beautiful Rocky Mountains at the Grand Timber Lodge (thanks Momma Joy and DanDad for giving us your time share week!). We had a wonderful time exploring downtown Breckenridge and hiking nearby. If you ever find yourself up there, make sure you eat breakfast at The Columbine Cafe! YUMMY food and HUGE pancakes (we ordered one too many the first time and wised up the next time!). Our other favorite spot to eat was Breckenridge Brewery. Again, yummy food and great service.

Momma Joy and DanDad set us up in this BEAUTIFUL 1 bedroom suite.

Here's the kitchen, and yes, everything else is full size like a home! Just to the left is a full dinning room table
.
The living room had a pull out couch and two recliners.

The bathroom was in two separate rooms with the shower (2 shower heads!) in one and a corner tub big enough for both of us in the other!

We drove about 20 minutes south of Breckenridge and hiked around Boreas Pass. It was crazy to see snow on the mountain tops in July! Well, crazy for me, but not for Bill... he's used to that kind of stuff in Colorado. The second picture is of some flowers that I saw that I thought were really pretty! The only plants that grow above timberline are very low to the ground and don't always have much color. We didn't find Bill's favorite (Alpine Forget-Me-Not). We found them last year in Rocky Mountain National Park. I'll post them another time!

We (well, I) decided I wanted to get dressed up on our last night and go out for steak. The only problem: Breckenridge is a ski town and no one dresses up. I felt a little odd, but got to wear the dress I bought for such an occassion!

We really didn't want to leave at the end of the week. So we did what all newlyweds do (right?): We bought a week at the time share! Now we can go back every year (or trade for a place anywhere in the world) and even stay for cheap any other time!
