First pic of the cast!

HOME
We are home.
After seeing the orthopedic specialist, it was determined that Bill's arm was fractured in two places, right at his wrist.
He is in a cast to just below his elbow (he is VERY thankful for that). The doctor told us if the fracture would have been 1-2 millimeters off, he would have definitely needed surgery. They are going to x-ray it weekly for a few weeks to make sure nothing else shifts. If it does, he'll need surgery.
Thank you Grandma and Papa for hanging out with David this afternoon!

Update on Bill
We went to the doctor yesterday and Bill did fracture his arm, both bones, right by his wrist. He is in a splint right now and will see an orthopedic specialist this afternoon. They wanted to get him in today since we will be out of town next week.
He slept OK last night, but isn't in any pain now. He said he doesn't feel like his arm has swollen any more and feels much better today than yesterday.
Thanks for your prayers! We'll keep you posted!

From Nashville
When downloading videos, I came across this one Laura took of the kiddos playing! So fun!
Be praying for the Gowans: They leave this weekend for their move to Chicago. Laura's parents are there helping them pack and love on Sally Jane. Pray for a safe trip (they are staying over night in Indiana), ease of settling in, and for a job for Gow!

Blizzard Update
We are officially snowed in...with a guest! Papa Robbins came by for his usual Thursday visit and then couldn't get home. We are glad he made it back here and David is eating up his time with his Papa!
I'll be taking Bill to the doctor in about 30 minutes because he fell and thinks he may have broken, or at minimum sprained, his wrist. We have an appointment and the office is only about 2 miles away off of main roads.
Bill's mom was out running errands with a friend earlier and is still on her way home. Pray she makes it safely or is able to make it back here safely.
More updates and some pictures later!

SNOW DAY!
Bill is off work today due to a BLIZZARD in Colorado! We are expecting up to 2 feet of snow by tomorrow morning, which means he probably won't have school tomorrow either.
EARLY SPRING BREAK, YEA!
Bill has next week off and we are headed to sunny Arizona (of course, my mom has said that it has 'cooled down' to 70 ... someone needs to tell her what 'cooled down' really is! We love you, Grandma Joy!) We are so excited to spend the week with the Bethels!
Everyone will be there by Thursday, as Rich and Shelby drive in on Wednesday and Jake flies in Thursday. Be looking for family pictures soon!
Bill went in to get David this morning and our little man screeched with joy when he saw his daddy! Such a sweet, sweet sound!
That's all for now! We are going to the thrift store this morning for 75% off!

Sundays at Grandma and Papa's
We've started going over to Bill's parents' house on Sundays after church. These pictures were from last week. As the weather gets warmer, we look forward to going on walks after lunch!
Auntie Alice gave David this horsey for Christmas. It took him a little while to warm up to it because it makes galloping sounds and it's tail wags when you squeeze his ear! But now they are friends!
I surrender!

Fun at the Park
A few weeks ago, David and I went for a LONG walk on a BEAUTIFUL Colorado day. We walked around the lake a few times, stopped to see the horses, and ended up at our favorite park. Bill met us there on his way home from work.
Yes, he's eating the chain!
We had a blast and are looking forward to exploring more this week as the temperatures are on the rise (at least for now!). On Monday, we are going to meet Bill at work and head just up the street to hike some trails! I love the warmer weather!

The End of an Era
So...the ducky died. He sprung a leak. I think he had enough of this..
But here's our cute little man enjoying his last bath with the ducky!
We are now on to bigger and better (and deeper) things! Our bath tub is pretty deep - great foradults, not so good for little ones. But it works just fine and he loves having more room for all of his toys.
We nipped him walking around as soon as it started, but couldn't help getting a few cute pictures first!

The Last of Nashville
The kids had a GREAT time hanging out together! It was fun to see their personalities and just how different they are! We also realized that we never want twins (sorry Grandma Joy)! Since Gow wasn't working, we had 3 adults on 2 kids so one of us could make meals or clean up. Well...Gow and Laura make meals and cleaned up. They really let me just be mom this week and I am so thankful for it. I don't know what we will do next time we get together when there's another peanut in the house (Laura's pregnant, not me!)
This picture cracks me up because you can really see the height difference between them. Sally is only 3 weeks older, but probably has 3 inches or more on David!
I'm SURE there is a picture of Laura and me somewhere just like this one. Where I'm not paying attention and she's making a funny face!
We had a BLAST and can't wait to get together again soon! Hopefully next time it'll be all 4 adults and the kids.

Be praying for the Gowans - they are leaving Franklin in a couple weeks and moving to Chicago/Lake Geneva, WI area with Laura's family. Gow is still waiting on a job, so they will settle with family until a job comes.
Thank you, Gowans, for an AMAZING week!

More Fun with Sally and Company
oh the fun we had!
David did GREAT on the flight to Nashville, but had a hard first 24 hours. He didn't sleep well that first night, maybe it was all the pink!
But after a good nights sleep the next night, he was super!
Here are some more pictures from the park:
We went to a YUMMY burger joint on our last night in town! The kiddos loved looking around at everything going on.
We took a trip to The Grand Ole Opry hotel on a cold day and checked out the indoor gardens. It was a great way to feel like we were enjoying the outdoors without freezing!
